Open positions

  • Two internship positions are available for Master of Science students that wish to prepare their final year project in our research group. One position is focused on the flatness based fault tolerant control of a convertible aircraft (see pdf) and the second is focused on the grey-box identification of aerodynamic coefficients of an aircraft (see pdf).

  • June 2012: PhD in Automatic Control, University of Grenoble, France, Awarded best PhD by the GdR MACS and best PhD in Automatic Control by the EEA Club (April 2013) (see nomination in pdf).
    Co-directorship of thesis with the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest, Romania.
    Topic: "Robust Design and Tuning of Active Vibration Control Systems" (pdf, 8.9 MB).
    Under the supervision of Dr. L. Dugard, Dr. I.D. Landau, and Prof. D. Popescu.
  • July 2008: Former student of the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest, where I obtained an Engineering Diploma in System's Engineering.

Professional experience

  • 09/2012 - present: Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences), IMS-lab, University of Bordeaux, France. I'm with the teams CRONE and FFTG.
  • 12/2012 - 04/2014: Post-doctoral researcher at IRISA / Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique, France, working on the visual servoing control of fluid flows (system's described by partial differential equations). I was with the Fluminance team.
  • 1 Oct. - 30 Nov. 2012: Research engineer at LIPhy and GIPSA-lab, University of Grenoble, France, working on the modeling and analysis of an adaptive optics system.
  • 1 Mai - 15 June 2012: Research engineer at INP Grenoble Entreprise SA and Paulstra SNC (Vibrachoc Department), France, working on the development and experimental testing of active vibration control algorithms for a multivariable system represented by a large boat diesel engine.
  • 1 March - 30 June 2008: Final year project, GIPSA-lab, INP Grenoble, France. Development of an interactive software in Visual C++ for computing robust RST controllers based on the method sensitivity functions shaping.
